To enrich his writing experiences and skill sets, Michael wrote this centennial book for the Los Altos Golf & Country Club (LAGCC), a preeminent country club in Northern California. Michael set out to craft a different kind of centennial work, one that featured storytelling, including dramatization of historical events, to more poignantly portray the LAGCC community and its collegial values and culture. He consulted a vast array of archival materials and interviewed an extensive list of members and administrators with institutional memory. It was a unique and rewarding undertaking.
